Fifty-one hours from Seoul by land and sea and one very long bus, to stand in the cold and watch other people pay to go up. Best morning of the trip and I did not leave the ground once.

Two ways of arriving somewhere. One took eleven hours on a night train and the other took four days and a van that would not start in the mornings. Neither involved an airport.
